Always quarantine new fish

I know this is common knowledge but sometimes you need a reminder. Now of course I know to quarantine my new fish and I do it all the time but I never see the benefit cause i get my fish from reputable dealers...

Well I recently pickuped some new fish and threw them in my growout tank without quarantining. Now all of my fish in the growout have ick. Also, before I saw the ick I was cleaning the tank and put a sponge filter temporarily in one of my other tanks and now my pair of salvinis have it.

As of now the count is up to 5 including my true green terror.

I agree, I'm at the point where I quarantine no matter the source, even reputable breeders.

ouch sry to hear. ya if u have a tank to do so i would always quarantine new fish.
