Just sayin' "hey". I'm new here and looking to educate myself a bit more on large tanks. I'm planning on building an approximately 1000 gallon tank for several arowanas, some pacus and possibly some new species that I haven't kept yet. I've had several large tanks (largest was a 200g). So I'm here to get some good ideas on what other people are doing.

I've been crusing on the forums for a bit now and this is great stuff! I've been keeping fish for about 25 years and have always had a passion for the BIG ONES. I've done saltwater, and currently have several smaller community tanks in original sizes that I build from scrap plexi. But all-in-all, I always stray back to the larger fresh-water species...these are my Fav! My backgound is in biology/parasitology. Thanks for all of you that keep this site going.

Hi Zoo,
Right now I have a community tank custom (about 45g) that is home to a a school of harlequin rasboras, a school of neons, a school of silver hatchets, a few crabs, corys and others, a 55g with several lions head goldfish and a few bristle nose pelcos (that actually bred...but only one survived), a 10 gallon fancy guppy tank, and in the process of building a 110g vivarium for some tropicals fish (probably some kinda tetras) and poison dart frogs. And, of course, a beta on any empty space I can find. Thanks...
