Wife wanted to move the 75 gallon to the other side of the kitchen. I did not argue since I wanted to get it away from direct sun light (it was algae madness on the left side).

Anyway, after all the fish are bucketed I start sucking the water out of the think, but I left the heater on.....with about 20% water left some splashed on the thing and BAM, loud ass pop and it cracked in 2. Scared the chit out of me....lol

 Aww that sucks

I had my first heater related incident just yesterday. I drained out the 20g in my kitchen and failed to notice that the heater itself was plugged into the wall and not the power bar. I guess you can figure out what happened when I grabbed onto it. :WHOA::swear::screwy:

Lesson "painfully" learned:
Use twist ties to keep the wires organized, and plug the filter into the wall not the heater.

haha

Yeah I have 2 vintage heaters, well I only have one now. lol

Both glass. My dad gave them to me. I like the vintage stuff.
