So here is my set up:
90 gallon tank, 20 gal wet/dry, 5 fancy goldfish, 2 bushy nose plecos. The goldfish are about 3" body length, I've had them about 6 months. I also am trying to make it a planted aquarium, but my goldfish think I'm supplying a salad bar.
I love my goldfish, I take great care of them, but I don't want to deal with fry. So I did not intentionally breed them, but a few days ago I noticed an uncountable number of fry swimming around my water sprite. The next day I saw 20-30, yesterday I saw 1, this morning I couldn't find any. Not sure the cause of death, they were either eaten, starved, or went down the overflow.
Should I feel bad about this? It'll probably keep happening. What do other people do????
