hi guys, i just bought a new tank 4 feet x 2 feet x 2,5 feet(height)..
the tank will arrive next week.. and i'll start cycling it for a month..
now i have one 3" endlicheri, one 4" flagtail and two 5" AT datnoid in my growout tank which i'll move to the new tank.. im thinking to put baby Channa aurantimaculata or baby spotted/florida gar in it.. is there still anyroom for 1 florida/spotted gar?or can i have both? if not i'll go for the baby channa.. FYI my normal tank temperature in the house is 24 celcius.. tap water PH is 7.5-8.. thx..

from what i gather flagtails generaly eat the silm coat off the gar like plecos...i wouldn't with the flagtail in...one reason i don't have a flagtail...

is it? learn a new thing.. i keep a flagtail because pleco can eat slime coat.. i thought flagtail wouldn't.. i'll take out the flagtail then.. so am i able to house it?

you should be good for the endlicheri & 2 dats. if you're serious about the gar then i would suggest you drop the channa from the stocklist. in that case, you will be able to house 3-5fl gars in there. as mentioned above, skip the flagtail. just a side note; i would also avoid adding coral chips since the pH is already on the high side. look forward to seeing your tank & gars.

ps: i'm glad to see another member from sgp! do let me know if you're interested in picking up some mfk decals, you can get more details thru the link in my sig.

thanks! nice! i'll go with the 1-3 florida gar then.. i'll have the channa on their own species tank then.. my 4 feet tank is back in indonesia.. im not able to house it in my tank in my room here(im studying in singapore currently looking forward to work here too).. since finding healthy and nice florida gar is hard there,i plan to bring juvenille when i fly home from here next month by plane.. i think i should come by to ur shop Xander.. and buy some GARS and maybe the free stickers
