so I am laying in bed watching my friends swim around, all is well and peaceful. I am just enjoying my fish and remembering why I love this hobby and why I labor for it. then it happens the lights go out now I am starring at a blacked at tank and all I can think about is turning the lights back on, this is silly I know but that's what's on my mind and I am sharing.

I try to never mess with their natural clock cycle, I can tell they are used to it because about 20 to 30 minutes before lights out they swim really slow and start moving to their sleeping spots.

nope not alone..i want to do this all the time!

I feel ya. I wake up at 730am every weekday and usually don't get home from class/jobs until 930 or later, and my lights are never on by then. One tank has moonlights but they are in-line with the day lights, so there's no easy way to turn them on without messing with my timers. But I spend plenty of time up close and to the elbows in fish muck on the weekends :D

We have 2 led moon lights set up on the 125 in the bedroom, my girl likes to lay in bed and fall asleep watching the fish.

Funny I read this sitting in the recliner watching the swift flows of the fish as they pass by bringing me to a state of Zen

moon lights are a great thing. My tank has a large light and a small one and they get turned on in order and off in order. The smaller light it turned on so they get used to the light so they dont freak out. I turn the larger one off and run the smaller light for about 30mins before lights out
