Just wanting to know if I put this together the right way. It's literally the one in the stickies. Same exact measurements and everything. :D It's not glued together or anything just pushed in. Will also be painted after I get the final review from fellow MFK'ers.

And is this the stuff you use to glue it together? If not what do I buy. It seemed to make sense and said can be used for potable() water so I just picked it up.

Looks like mine except i put dual entries to minimise the chance of blockage.

PVC cement is the go. AFAIK

Looks good. You're going to twist it so the intake lays flat against the back of the tank though before you glue it up right?

Yeah I will just wanted to show for reference and after glued will paint it black. Thanks guys.

Yep, your good on both counts.

I say make the pipe between the two top 90 elbows as short as possible to fit better above the aquarium wall. That's just aesthetics though.

And I guess it might help the whole thing from falling to one side. Though there are other ways to support it.

What about the air thingy that goes on top(I can't believe I actually forgot what it's called) does it matter what kind it is or anything?

Oh yeah and I glued it together and everything and just about finished with the sump.

Still need to make the drip plate for the sump and get tubing for the return and have to paint the overflow.

Bump

Check valves, you mean?
I think people have had better luck with the spring ones, than the duckbills. I personally use the spring ones, so I can't compare.
