I used a dozen feeder goldfish to cycle my 1000 gal pond, and about half of them survived the first week. Now, believe it or not, I have grown quite fond of the little guys. I mean, come on, they nibble at my fingers, and they're getting so big...

I want to put my two oscars in there, and of course they will eat them up. Should I be locked up for getting attached to a bunch of 25 cent silly feeder goldfish???

:screwy:

No. If comets are your calling , then so be it. Its your pond bro, so you have the final say. ;)

Besides , you can always change your mind later..

I ran into the same issues but i'll post mine up later..........

Nah, I cycled my pond with feeders and planned on ditching them later to go native, but in the end I kept the goldfish. I brought them inside for the winter because my mom wanted to drain the pond, and my prawn ended up eating all of them anyways.

I guess I'll just go native next year.

Nothing wrong with goldfish.
