Finally, about two months after I bought my 20gal tank I think reached a point where I'm pretty happy with my tank setup. But I have a feeling I went a bit overboard with my stock. Let me know what you think.

I have live plants, an AC70 filter running on high and I do 50% weekly water changes.

In my stock I have:

8 zebra loaches (1-1.5")
2 dwarf gouramis
1 bristlenose pleco (1.5")
1 bolivian ram

Here's a pic.

Thanks!

I would add another filter as well... Also fish wish, maybe a few more open water fish, no more bottom fish.

Well, don't tell them but the eight zebra loaches were an "accident" - I really meant to have only 6... (it's a long story.) But I do love the little guys to death.

I would love some more open water fish but that's kind of why I posed this question. I'm not sure how many more I can get, if any...

As for having another filter --- well, I may get a small 10-gal sized one, but when I put an Aqueon 20gal one, I didn't like how strong the current was with two filters - and my hornwort was all pressed up against the front glass, which also looked kinda weird.

Try a canister, even a small one will help. You can direct the flow of water downwards if you want.

No can do. This tank is in my cubicle at work... I'd like to keep it all neat and tidy with only the stuff I absolutely need.

I would just do another small HOB.. Clean and healthy.
