Hello,

Im looking for a bit of advice and I want you to go easy on me. I have a 180 gallon tank with quite a few potentially large fish. Before I tell you the list of fish, my tank is running a wet/dry filter with a mag18 return pump. One tunze 500gph powerhead and an airpump. There are 2 300w jager heaters. The list of fish is:

1 satanoperca 3"
1 black arowana 6"
1 albino oscar 4"
1 flagtail 4.5 "
1 red severum 5"
2 geo. altifrons 5"
1 geo. abalios 4"
1 geo. threadfin 5"
1 polka dot syno 6"
1 redtail cat 4"
1 albino pleco 6"
1 asian hifin pleco 3 "

This adds up to 13 fish that have the potential of reaching 12 inches or more. (except for the syno.)

I have seen some tanks that are way overstocked than this and are doing great such as the ones on this thread: http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59793&highlight=post+overstocked+tanks

Well heres a pic of the tank. All parameters are normal.

I don't think some of those tanks in that thread you want to aim for though.

Yeah a lot of those tanks have massive filtration.

I think you are asking for trouble with that RTC in there. Before long he will eating any thing it can fit into its mouth.

yeah rtc gotta go

is there anything like it that I can keep? how about lima shovelnose? I love the personality of these cats

get a rtc mixed with a shovelnose that might work or go with the syndoptis species

Aside from the RTC, which needs to go, and I'd recommend against any of the other big cat species mentioned with this stock, that aro needs an 8 foot tank IMO.
