Am I overstocked?

I recently moved the 300 I picked up a while back. I'm curious if you guys think it's overstocked, I think he can turn around... What do you think? Please excuse the mess, needs some finishing touches.

Rays, some severum, an indo dat, a couple chocolates and a small school of mesonauta. Pretty much peaceful SA cichlids, rays and one algae wafer loving IT. Electrician comes Saturday and I have a bit more plumbing work to do, but we should be rolling by next weekend.

You keep peta out of this, he is clearly comfortable as evidenced by the fact that he never moved. He stood there waiting for me to come back, and then when I went to grab him he laid down to be pet. Very personable aquarium critter.

This is more setup oriented but is styrofoam under the tank necessary or suggested?

I'm just glad he came pellet trained, I think I might throw an fx5 with the new combing attachment. Hopefully that will keep me going.
