Am i overstocked?

Hi, i just wanted some opinions on the stocking of my 125 gallon tank. I Currently have x1 jack dempsey x1green terror x1 blood parrot x1firemouth x2 convicts x6 silver dollar x1 rainbow shark x1 raphael catfish. All the fish are only about 3 inches now, but will i be overstocked in the future?

Kind of, but it's not so bad. I'd say bioload-wise you are at capacity but not too far over. Whether the stock will all get along without killing each other is another story. You may be fine, but it depends on the individual attitudes of the fish. Keeping communities of cichlids is like a delicate balancing act, and in my experience my community tanks' stock hardly ever ends up the way I plan it originally, because you have to tweak it here and there to make it work.

If the fish get along fine as adults, but you are not able to keep nitrates below 20ppm everyday, then you are overstocked.

Ok thank you so much. Surprisingly everyone gets along pretty well. My blood parrot and firemouth alwaus go at it, but never injure eachother.

You’re fine as long as you don’t end up with a crazy GT. If the convicts are a pair, they may end up causing grief when they get a decent size

The convicts are both males. I have a regular con and a pink one. My gt is pretty mello right now, but he doesnt take any crap. Lol
