I have a 90 Gallon i just set up, cycled and going good.. It has a Fluval 405 running right now with
- 3" Jack Dempsey
- 3" Male Convict
- 2.3" female Convict

This weekend, i will get rid of the (breeding) pair of convicts, add a 3" Oscar, a 2.5" Polleni and a Fluval 305..

Opinions??

thanks!

by the way, just saw that I posted this in the Madagascar section.. I guess just 33.33% of the fish in the tank are (is) from Madagascar, so if it belongs in SA/CA, apologies and MOD please move..

I would keep it as a grow out but you will need a 120g at least when they fully grow

120G is usally still 48" long though isnt it? do you say 120 just because of the extra volume or because of the extra 6" in "turning room"?

Volume can be offset with extra water changes.... I jsut set up the 90G and dont expect my wife to concent with a 120 upgrade in a year (or less).. UGH

You'll be fine for quite some time... possibly little over a year before they start getting too big. I would suggest 6 ft tank when they reach full size, more for swimming room rather than volume. Head to tail these 3 fish will nearly go from one end of the tank to the other when full grown. A 6ft footprint will give them extra space so that theyre not bumping into each other

......or lose one of the big ones (Oscar or Polleni)... We'll see if i can choose in a year, probably will end up buying a 6 footer or another 90 G for one of them....

Oh well, I'm going to enjoy the 3 of them to the max until that happens!

Polleni and Oscar are arriving tomorrow!!!:grinno:
