Am I paranoid?

I have a giant danio that has an area about 1/8 of an inch on his side that is dule. it's not shiny. None of the other fish have that but i don't know much about diseases and I wondered if it was something or if just maybe some of his scales got scraped off or something. Could someone tell me if it's an area of concern or paranoia

no, I just got them about 1 week ago for a new tank set up. First ones in there besides some algea eaters.

How can I tell if it something to be worried about? If it is something of to worry about what do I do about it?

my flowerhorn got a white spot on it where it looked like there were no scales. it died a few days later. and i had just got it too
