Hello =^_^=

This might sound like a dumb Question but just wanna hear second opinon or two.

I know these shrimp can climb out of tanks and run pretty fast...
i was wondering if i kept the water level slightly lower than the top of the tank.. would they still be able to climb out like on teh glass it self? I know most shrimp cant climb on teh glass.. but after reading and seeing amano shrimp climb out of nets and onto the LFS staffs arm... i was wondering if it can climb glass? but glass is slippery unlike nets. Maybe theyll escape using the filter intake to get out. Im just going to put them in a temporary holding tank.

Just wanna hear opinion.. if they cud climb on a glass wall and escape....
If so then maybe ill use internal filter with a mesh or screen on top... or something.. im kinda low on aqurium hooods at the momment lol

well if you have a high water level of at least 6 inches or up then any invert with a tail will most likely escape unless you put a lid on.

but no they will not climb on the glass, they will use their tail to propel themselves out and onto the table/floor, once they do they will dry out and die, not walk/scitter away. i had this hapen to me befor, my shrimp died...i put it back in the tank upright and the air slowly bubled out of it, then it swam to the bottom.

long story short, if u can find the bodie your good.

oh ya and it wont climb on glass. :D
