I have an Amarillo and he doesn't seem to be nearly as aggressive as my midas or Trimac? My red devils seemed to be much more aggressive than my Midas>>? Have any of you had the same experience with Amarillos or did I just get a chilled one?

aggression really depends on a fish's personality IME. My friend got a wild one from Jeff Rapps last year and that thing is a glass banger! but it may partly be becuase it is wild... How big is he? I have had fish be real nancys then they hit a certain size and become full of hate for everything else in the tank...

id say hes getting up to the point where he would be reaching maturity and would start to get more aggressive. but like i said before it depends on the individual fish's personality, you could go to sleep tonight with him being extremely un-agressive and tomarrow morning he could be the king of the tank. If i was you I would wait and see

I'll do that. He is just so chill. He has always been calm, since he was younger. He takes 0 crap though and he will throw down. Honestly his personality is awesome. He is probably my favorite fish.

Ive had a lot of cichlids be un-aggressive until they reached full sexual maturity. One they did that I wanted to pull my hair out with the havoc they caused.

I grew out 9 F1 labiatus and 8 F1 amarillo with a older and larger trio of Festae, needless to say the fesate are all dead and the labs and amarrillo look great. Ken

As a matter of fact he snapped last night! I may have to remove him from the tank. Damn I was hoping that he would only be moderately aggressive. He is bullying my gutalatum pretty bad.
