amatitlania beards

More of an observational thread, but what I've noticed in most amatitlania (that get blue on them), is that as males get older they tend to develop blue on their throats. I know females can get this too, but I haven't seen it as much.
However as you know a.nanolutea is yellow. The cool thing I've found with them, especially with my presumably very old and relatively large male, is his "beard" is green, because I'm assuming the xanthrophores are mixing with the vestigial cyanophores that are developing underneath.
