This isopod enters a fishes mouth and attaches itself to the base of the fish's tongue where it slowly sucks blood out of he tongue, eventually eating it completely away. It then proceeds to live in the fish's mouth and acts as the fish's tongue for the remainder of the fish's life. Apparently, other than losing its tongue, the fish suffers no ill affects.
