I just picked up this guy this past weekend, he's about 9". Ive tried to stay away from silvers, but I couldnt resist. He was at one of the lfs i previously worked at and I raised this guy at the store since he was just a little guy so he kinda has a place in my heart. He didnt have much color at the store but when I brought him home and he got settled in, all i can say is WOW.. Is this normal coloration for a normal silver? Pictures dont really do him much justice but he has a crazy amount of blue in his face and front part of his body. The reddish pink in his scales and tail is insane too. Im not trying to brag but he is probably the prettiest normal silver I have ever seen. Here are some pics I got of him.Screenshot_2015-08-05-20-40-29.png 2015-08-06_18.12.51.jpg 2015-08-05_20.49.19.jpg

My silver about the size of yours has a lot of red, scales fin etc.

i find it very hard to take good pics of my silvers . they have wicked awesome colors that my camera just wont capture, pinks and blues , reds and even orange and irridesants .

i have two that have really noticeable blue on there faces . the two that are blue face are also the more aggressive and spar more. maybe a dominance thing dominant colors ?
the other one has a more whitish face very noticable difference from the blue face ones . the blue face ones also have an orange spot on the gills that the white face lesser dominant one doesn't have . maybe i got two males and a female how knows

beautiful fish you got there :)

Thank you, it could be a dominance thing. Hes just in with a smaller mala wolf fish. Mine has a very nice tail pattern too, i never knew silvers colored up like this lol.

Great colors.
