Amazing! was $9.99... Now $129.99! Huh?

I bought a little tiny flowerhorn for 9.99 at a fish store when they had like 20+ of them about six months ago. I bought the biggest one they had took it home and stuck it in a ten gallon. Well, it got bigger, and bigger, I moved it to bigger tanks...anyway it's got to be about 9-10 inches already... beautiful fish. I went back to the store I got the other day and they had still had a few left ranging from 80 to 130 dollars in price depending on size! The one that was 129.99 was way smaller than mine... so how much is mine worth? and why sell them for 100 bucks when i bought mine for 10? I got a steal!?

Maybe you got lucky and got a good grade Flowerhorn and they didn't realize it at the time. Post a picture of you Flower Horn :D
 
I asked my LFS about this. He'd have 2" - 3" cichlids for about $9 then the 5" ones jumped up to about $45. He said they cost more because they're older and more stable. They won't die as easily. Whatever.
 
Ive seen flowerhorns go for $250 at 4-5" because they already show great color and a huge kok
 
Sounds like the light of fortune shone upon you in that purchase. Just be glad and enjoy your FH.
