So I just recently added 3 cichla to a 29 an they have been really skittish and it has been kinda freaking me out.

I have 6 really nice black skirt tetras and I decided to pit some in the 29 to see if it reduces stress for the cichla. I put 2 in and to my amazement the hiding cichla shot out and started schooling around by the bst's. They then began to beg for food. They are completely un skittish, swimming around and everything.

Lol thanks man but I just read that putting peaceful fish with them will lower there skittishness.

I guess it's true! Lol

Good to know.
I've been considering some peaceful cruisey fish for my native aus. setup because my archer fish are incredibly skittish. Re-affirms the idea for me.

Your BST's must be a lot more mellow then mine.... by BST's dart around crazily and even have a go at harassing my Apistos... not that they care.
