Basilisks in South America are restricted to the Pacific and Carribean slopes; none in the Amazon to my knowledge. Are you going for a biotope?

Green basilisks are strictly central Amarica and southern Mexico, but other species may extend farther south I am not sure. Mabye browns do, as Mike D said google it
