I'd like to do one when I get the money, but mine will likely be large Amazonian fish as I already have several of them and my knife should turn out to be quite monster.

I've wanted to do a 6'+ planted angel tank ever since they set a huge one (probably 12+' long) at the Columbus Zoo Aquarium and I used to have some pics of it, but I lost the files and now they tore down the building it was in...
It had probably 15 pairs of angels, hundreds of cardinals with some bloodfins and rummynose thrown in. Probably a dozen pleco species and tons of otos. A massive group of Cory. sterbai and probably a few other random fish here and there.

That's amazing

I saw a little talk on there about new stuff at the Columbus Zoo. I was pretty disappointed when they closed the old Johnson Complex there even though it was old, and I got the same vibe from the keeper I talked to there when I went in to pick up one of their paddlefish for the hatchery I worked at. The aquatic displays in the new CA/SA exhibit better be awesome. I miss the ones they used to have even though they didn't come close to the display you posted

Cardinals > Neons

Many reasons not to choose neons especially temperature tolerance if discus is chosen.

Most definitely. The only "advantage" I guess you could say for neons is they are slightly cheaper. Cardinals are better looking, hardier, etc....

i have a 225 with 13 discus, a silver arowana and 7 clown loaches.. had 50 rummynose in there before i decided to get the aro, they turned into snacks over the first few weeks.
