Amazon Biotope

Hi'

I've got a fairly empty 7x2.5x2.5 and was thinking of doing a biotope type tank, i've got a henlei x mantilla stingray in there with soem barbs (these can be moved) i have an oscar and a pair of heros sevros.
Is there any other cichlids that would go in here?

How "biotope" are we talking, region, river, stream etc..?

Not sure on mixing with the oscar (every one is different) but if it would allow I think a proper school 5+ of a Geophagus species like G. altifrons would compliment your ray well and you would enjoy them. Have a look into "nuclear followers association" when it comes to certain geo species and your ray.

The rays are brazilian, the Henlni coming from the Tocantins & Araguaia rivers. I would assume you want to build a biotope around these. Look at this link for fishes native to this area.

I have a Huge oscar with a festivum, silver dollars and blue acaras and they get along great i am not sure if they are all compatible with sting rays though. I will be getting a green severum, uaru and a chocolate when i cam find them.

!!! Angels with an Oscar? Oh hecks no! If you put an Angel fish in my tank my Oscars would make sure there was no evidence that there was ever an Angel in the tank. Bad idea dude...

Eartheater? Maybe. Discus? Maybe. Peacock Bass? Yeah this should be fine. But an Angel? lol go for it, but make sure you have the results on video

In many cases an Oscar will ignore Angels since they are not a threat. Especially if they grow up together.

Parrot would be my first choice in that tank.
