Amazon Leaf Fish

I got 2 Jumbo Amazon Leaf Fish 4.5"
I threw them in my 180 blackwater aquarium.
One of the fish is missing the barbel/angler on his snout.
I wanted to know if it will eventually grow back or not.
Also I been trying to get them to eat frozen silversides with no luck so any tips on caring for them would be appreciated!

Gotta use live feeders. Awesome mini predator but never heard of them on prepared foods.

Don't know about the barbel growing back but never heard or read of them accepting nonliving food. One of my favorite specie but for that reason left them alone.
