Hey, I have quite a few Raphael Catfish. I have some Clown Loaches mixed in with them, and will also keep a big YoYo, 2 Zebra Loaches(very hard to get here) and a few Chain Loaches.
But for the Raphael Catfish, I would like to design the tank to mimic their natural environment. So any types of driftwood, plants and substrate to suit them.
What sort of plants would work in the aquarium that would be of an Amazon/Orinoco river theme? I am hoping there are some type of Lilly plant aswell to provide some sort of cover in the tank. Are there any types of driftwood shapes that I should go for, or any driftwood is fine?
I have some lava rock in there currently, is this something to remove? Would it go against the theme?
Also, what lighting will be required to match the plants?
I am really looking for some input and inspiration for this tank.
It is 4x2x2 with a sump filter. I currently have a 600lph internal, but I will be upgrading to a bigger capacity internal filter in the coming weeks.
