im growin tired of my 10 gallon communtiy tank with corys tetras and hatchets..........need something new.....

my LFS has a amazon/brazillian puffer. i know they r truw freshwater and have seen quite a few really good looking and cute specimens, so im leaning twords picking him up ASAP.

i know hell eat my little 1/4" gold tetras, but dont know how he will react to my 1" julli and sterbai cories......hes about 2-3"s.........

so do you think he will harrass/kill the corys(1") or the hatchets (1")? wonderin if i could keep the kool biotopic setup instead of a single specime tank......

What species is it. It would probably be at the very least, a fin nipper, and would probably be best kept in a single specimen tank.

Colomesus asellus is ths species name, theyre supposed to be really mellow, and rthe barnes and nobel in baltiomre has one in theyre huge communtiy tank....it seems to leave everybody alone.....

They;re really too active for a 10g. They're schooling fish so do best intrios as well, but they can be kept alone.

Check out dwarf puffers, or maybe a single irrubesco/lorteti/borneensis or salivator for a tank that size.
