Hello, I have a decent sized amazon sword in my RB piranha tank. I bought it about a week ago and it came with 3 runners with small baby plants on them. Now some of them have started to grow roots (1" to 1-1/2" long). What, if anything, is supposed to be done to get these baby plants to grow healthy without damaging the mother plant?
I have heard somewhere that the baby plants need to be cut off, or that the runners should be cut? What should I do, cut them off, just leave them for awhile yet, do nothing ever???
Thanks,
Dustin

Stick the roots of the baby plant into the sand/ gravel/ what ever is your sub' is .

Then when it is about 5inch and started to get some good healthy green leafs on it , it should be then ok and well rooted in and start to grow like the mother plant has . You can when its about 5/ 6inch cut it off the mother plant and move it some where else in the tank or put in anohte0r tank , or just leave it where it is .

This post made me think about my amazon sword with runners. When I got it it had 5 runners with small rooted babies. I just checked and had 3 plants with 4-5' roots. I just cut them off the runners but I was wondering if new babies will grow on the runners or do I need to cut the runners too? And or will my plant grow new runners?
