You're probably going to have more luck with plants which are attached to driftwood or clay pots. Honestly, most people who have Oscars just go with old "plasticus planticus", because it's really hard to keep plants thriving if they're constantly being disturbed.
 
I would just pot them. When I kept anchoring plants my oscar destroyed them systematically if he could'nt move them around. I ended up giving up completely after going through countless plants.
 
Thanks, they are potted with the bottoms of water bottles. I am going to bury the plants deep into the tank, and if that doesn't work i'll try to use weights.
