Isn't the CO2 bad for the fish in the tank?

It does lower oxygen levels...

You just need to check for oxygen depriviation(sp) like gasping, rapid breathing, at top of water making bubbles. Stuff like that.

Double-edged sword. Putting another air pump would increase the o2.

Increasing the o2 means less co2.

Hmm than how would I go about keeping up the O2 without taking away the CO2? Bderick67 you tank is Awesome:headbang2

You cant. You just have to watch that your fish are still breathing fine. But fish from the amazon are used to low oxygen waters so It should be fine.

Thanks for all the comments

I do feed my Silver live convicts cichlids that I breed, he is limited to just 2 a week. I will not feed any of my fish store bought feeders, just to risky.

The amount of Co2 I am putting into the tank is very minimal, plus the plants convert Co2 into O2. I haven't seem any signs of depleated O2. In my 72g bowfront i have the same Co2 setup and the tank is heavily stocked so I run an air pump for 5 hours at night time.
