I'm currently buying supplies to setup a new 75gal rectangular tank. I currently have 6 red bellies in an inconveniently shaped 45gal tank. I have a giant penguin filter, a 24watt UV filter, and change the water regularly.

But I've recently seen these "amazon water conditioners" such as "amazon rain." Can anyone tell me what these actually contain versus a normal water conditioner? And are there any benefits to using them, or should I even use them for my red bellys?

Also, do they cloud the water like brackish solutions?

natts aren't exactly picky over water parameters, so unless your tap water is extremely hard, i wouldn't bother dumping chemicals in to change things. providing a stable environment is much better than messing with things trying to replicate their exact natural water conditions. if you mess with things too much, you put your fish at risk of ph swings that could be fatal.
