Hi there hoping someone across the pond can help us, we are looking to buy our daughter a monsterfishkeepers t-shirt from the store.

In the UK we have sizes like 1-2 years, 6-12 months etc, we are given an age but the American system is things like 6t/8t, 10t/12t.

Can anyone please explain how this system works please before we order a shirt way to small or to big lol.

Thanks in advance :)

Its the same as yours as far as the months go, the t equals years I guess. I dont know for sure though. My daughter is 25mo and is still wearing 20-24mo clothes.

Well it goes right up to 18t/20t.

So I cant think the t can stand for years?

No idea, google is helping much either heh.

Thanks for the reply though.

I beleive the 'T' is for toddler and I would guess the number is months. We'll probably have to wait for one of the MFK ladies to chime in.

That would make sense, thanks.

not a lady, but for my daughters clothes, normally up until they are 2 years, it goes by months, so up to 24 months, then it switches to the Ts, so 24months and 2T are actually the same thing.

then its supposed to basically follow the years at that point, although my daughter is really tall and really skinny, she is almost 4, but wears 5T shirts and dresses, and 2T shorts and 3T pants (only because 2Ts are way too short, but these kinda fall off so she has to wear a belt)

edited to add
Never heard of the larger numbers having a T with them, normally after 5T you switch from toddler clothes to girls clothes, which follow the same basic small medium large, but couldn't really tell you how to size all those, my daughter is just started to get some of the smalls, and those are big on her.
