American Cichlid Tank Intro (Video)

Hi all,

I’ve just put together a short video of my tank.
I have over stocked it, because I am sick to death of only having a few fish in the tank and having one kill all the others (even when selecting so-called “peaceful” fish).

For now, all is fine. If fish get too boisterous, they will be re-homed.

I bought him off someone when he basically that size, maybe half an inch smaller. But I was told that he was about a year old, maybe a little bit older at the time.
I’ve had him for about 6 months.

He’s stunning, and the others look good too. Really like the background too.

I must say those are beautiful fish!

The eart eater was the most popping looking fish, but the convict colors contrasted well and fins were very well formed.

The background is by Universal Rock, this model is called Olga’s. It wasn’t cheap, but I think it was worth it. It’s probably been in that tank about 4 years.

The tank itself is 6ft. It’s an Aqua One AquaGrand 180.
