But if I buy one out of NC, like in SC it is legal, right? Is it legal to catch a small one and bring it home and put it in my aquarium?
I think its illegal no matter where you buy it, not sure about catching one though, ill see if i can find the law

Thanks man. I didn't even think about it being illegal considering they are native.
It actually doesn't say that buying one is illegal, it says that selling one is. So I think I'm pretty sure it'll be ok to buy one from somwhere that it is legal or even better catch one from around here.
