I don't know of any comprehensive guides out there. It's not a real commonly-kept fish, so any guide would just be a collection of anecdotes in any case. I've tried raising juveniles (power outage wiped 'em out after a few weeks) so my experience is pretty limited, but I've read a good bit about them. The basics:

Tank size- at least 6' X 2' footprint, preferably wider. They get big!
Substrate- unimportant
pH, KH, GH- unimportant
Temperature- unimportant
Current- low
Aeration- unimportant
Feeding- fish, crayfish, nightcrawlers, frozen seafood, beef heart; not sure if they're pellet trainable
Tankmates- other big tough fish
Other- lots of cover, secure lid, enough space between water and lid for air gulping

definitely pellet trainable. these guys eat almost anything that smells appetizing to them.
Very true,my six incher stated taking freeze dried krill and Hikari arowana pellets at the water surface after only a few days after introduction.

they are cold water fish and are usually found in deeper areas, so i would recomend room temp. ive heard of them feeding on pellets as well.

BTW ive been looking for one for a while know and had no luck. anyone want to part with one? lol
