i have an older amiracle pro-line pl-3000
getting back into the hobby after an 11 year break. i need help with pluming the protein skimmers i know a power head is needed to power them but unsure as to the proper set up. if anyone has the actual instructions in a pdf file that would be awesome or if not a description of how would work - looking forward to searching around as this is one of the more informative sites i have visited thus far.
if i put this in the wrong section please move to proper section.
thanks for any help
chris

I would go ahead and pick up a new skimmer. I used to sell these about 15 years ago and they were always giving customers problems. The newer ones are much more efficient than the Amiracle ones. I'm not even sure if they are still in business.

that is the unit i have - i have another skimmer i used that worked great - might use that one but i would still like to see if i can get this one to work kind of like a challenge - if i look at what i can see in the pic it looks like 1 powerhead and a t then up the centers of the skimmers to a 90 deg. outlet - i would assume that an air tube needs to be hooked up - not with supplied air but just a tube to get the air into the power head stream for the bubbles - still would love to find the actual instructions for reference
