Ammonia and 8.80ph killing plants?

Anybody, had ammonia burn, kill aquatic plants?

I think I killed my algea culture, by dosing too much ammonia.

Ammonia 3.0ppm. And it' not going down. Experimenting with algea scrubbers.

Yeah, if it's not going down it's time for a water change.

Ya, it' s in a 2 gallon container. I just wonder if it is dead.
