Hello,

I have running my tank more than 1 year.

If NO3 is 15-20ppm and NO2 is 0ppm... Can Ammonia has to be different than 0ppm ?

Anybody ?

I don't understand the question. I think it's not worded right, can you try to ask it in a different way?

Sorry, this is because of my English :))

My tank is running more than 1 year.

I just made a test of NO3, NO2 and Ammonia.

My Nitrate (NO3) is 15-20ppm and my Nitrite (NO2) is 0ppm... That is perfect.

But, my Ammonia looks like more than 0ppm - It looks like > 0.25. I'm not sure is this something wrong with test that I'm using, or maybe I have problem with my water in aquarium.

Ammonia can be 0.25 (may be higher than 0) if my Nitrate and Nitrite are OK ? Does such a situation may have a place ?

Thanks

Yes, that can happen if you have more waste in the system than what your biological filter can "clean."

Have you been feeding more than usual, or did something die in the tank to cause a higher waste level?

Yes, I'm feeding more than usual. Hmmm... Well, I think that I have problem.

Thank you for helping !

Do water changes using Prime, if you have access to it. Treat the whole tank's volume with Prime (1 ml per ten gallons.)

Also, greatly decrease the amount you are feeding, or fast for a day. Keep feeding sparingly until your filter is able to handle the load, then slowly, over the course of a few weeks, increase the number of times you feed per day. Feed small amounts multiple times a day instead of large meals one or two times per day is your ultimate goal.

OK, Thank you ! I understand, and I will do exactly what you wrote.

I'm using Prime - Seachem for more than 1 year. Very good product.

Thank you one more time :)

Now I know what happened... One of my bio filter was shout down... Probably I forgot turn on after changing water.

It was probably 2 days ago.

It is safe to turn it on or maybe better rinse a filter media ?

Thanks !
