Hello,
I've got a beautiful 16" potamotrygon motoro ray in a 185 gal tank and am having some frustrating water chemistry problems.
I've had old tank syndrome in here before, but never this bad. It has an 800gph sump and a reaction 4 canister filter.
pH: 7.5 (usually on the higher side)
NH3: .25-.5ppm (not very high, but clearly showing signs of irritation)
no2: 0
no3: 50ppm.
Normally, this wouldn't worry me, but here's where it gets interesting.
Tomorrow, (23rd) I'm leaving town to meet up with my family through the 26th.
On the 27th, I'm moving. At the new house, I have a 350 gallon indoor "pond" set up and cycled for her.
Should I leave her in the current tank while I'm away (and if so, what should I do?), or should I mover her and leave town a day late (could be a bad idea to move her and not be in town to keep an eye on here for 3 days)?
Also, does anyone have any tips for moving a large stingray?
Best, and Happy Holidays!
