hey, i have 3 baby red belly piranhas, they are only 1" - 1.5" long

i am wanting to feed them pellets from now on, my pellets are hikiri (thats not right, doh) gold cichlid mini floating pellets

they wont venture up to the top of the tank to get them and i think the mini pellets are a little too small for them, i tried putting some un der water and making what looks like a flake, they love this.

i was wondering if anybody has suggestions on the amount of mini pellets to feed 3 baby rbp's?]

also,, if i ground them into smaller bits and just sprinkled them all over the tank (they will sink now), will the fish be able to eat such small chunks? even if they are lying on the sand?

anyone??

Feed as much as they will eat in 1-2 minutes 1-2 times a day. You'll be fine.

when i said the pellets were too small, i actually meant to say that they were too big. ive squashed them a little, and will have a few mouth fulls, but they dont seem too interested, sometimes they will not even start to eat the pellets untill 2 mins!!! and then they will just "pick" at the food for 3-4 mins.

this does not seem like wat other people are experiencing....?

i've just read in a thread that i could soak my pellets in garlic solution, what is garlic solution? where can it be bought?

anyone? someones got to know!!!!

Garlic guard you can get it at

www.bigalsonline.com

Or read about it at seachem.com

Entice (another seachem product) is another great appetite stimulant with some vitamins too I believe.
