Hey how much land do rainbow crabs need in order to be properly housed. would a plant extending out of the water be enough, or do you need a piece of driftwood etc.

Not sure a plant would work out. It would have to be fairly sturdy and allow the crab to sit on it out of the water without having to hang on the whole time. A piece of driftwood might be good, depends on the piece of wood.
There are little suction cup shelves you can get as well, usually sold for turtles or frogs. Can run a piece of driftwood up to the shelf and that'd probably work pretty well.
