* 10/3/15- Update

He's a solid 11" now and has become intolerable of anything in his tank. Although my last Amph was aggressive (Stevie), this is by far the most aggressive fish I've ever kept. As I said in my previous post, I'm having to wear thick rubber aqua gloves during any type of tank maintenance. Loving this guy....

amphilophus labiatus or amphilophus citrinellus if you want to do some googling.

but i think this is the elusive "midevil". the red devils or midas you find in most pet stores are likely a cross of the two. theyve unofficially been dubbed "midevil"
