Looks good Modest, and alot like my F1 male. I have noticed the F1's we all got from Jeff have a slimmer build with rounder snouts while the F2's from them I am growing are taller/broader build and snout isen't as rounded. Is he still a picky/fineky eater?

He just started pounding pellets two days ago. We've had a heat wave and the house is up over 85 degrees. Guess the higher temperatures stimulated him (I usually keep the tank right around 80 degrees). He's at the front of the tank begging which he has NEVER done before.

Glad to hear he's eating pellets. I saw your other post where you were ready to give him away. He looked to have mad attitude with the lights out. Hope he comes around and stays that way.....these guys are defiantly on my list of I want one. Keep us posted.

He's looking real good. I had a similar situation with my RD when I set up his new tank I set the tamp at 80 on a new heater I bought. I noticed his appetite dropped and his hump shrunk I thought he wasn't used to his new tank. A couple weeks ago I relocated the heater and must have moved the setting anyway the temp went to 85 and he's eating like a horse again and looking a lot better.

He's really looking good! Glad to hear He is eating better

nice looking fish. do many of you find the temp makes for better appetites and activity? keeping mine at 84 - all seem happy and feeding well
