a male only tank is the only way it'll work....

just recently picked up a FEMALE midevil, she's trying to pair up with my big midas and attacking anything that comes close to my big male... now i gota get rid of her. sigh dumb females

Too bad. Could have warned ya about that Jimmy. A single of either will do great in a comunity. Get a breeding pair and unless you got a 300g I don't see a pair of Amphilophus working with other fish.

The only females I keep are of fish I want to spawn! War in communities are bad news huh lol
