Im trying to work my way through my collection and post pics of all my pairs. Its easier said than done, the Grammies and Freddies are always at the rear of the tank, and are impossible to photograph. This isnt the case with the Lyonsi, they are more than willing to pose for the camera. I really love this species, they are so mild mannered and peaceful, yet can hold their own against almost anyone. I cant help but wonder what people see in Flowerhorns, when they can get so much colour and beauty from natural and pure Amphilophus.

Nice looking pair! Don't count on them staying mild mannered though, at least the males i had in the past turned into terrors once they got full grown.Course individuals vary so maybe You have Mr. nice. :)

Ive been warned already!! LOL A fellow fishkeeper here in the UK had no problems with his Lyonsi, until they hit 10". Then the turned really nasty and had to be seperated from the other fish. Like you say, individuals can vary, but i'll be keeping a close eye on him.

Cheers for the comments
