Amphilophus Lyonsi

New addition to the family! I got him last night and with in 10 mins he was eating. Very pleased with how well this little guy is responding and this is also one of my personal "always wanted" fish!

Thanks man!!! Im super happy about how well he looks. I got him for $15.00 and thats a steal of a deal. Local guy Tiny (from here Thanks Tiny!) had a few left over and he hooked me up for sure!

I don't think this guy has a common name. At least not to my understanding?.. I saw this breed like 8 years ago and wanted one then. I have never seen one until last night!

He gets along with everyone in my tank so far. In fact he doesn't seem "grumpy" at all!

Yep I feel pretty good about it. And i'll be getting back with Tiny on the next fish I want!

"lions cichlid" is the only common name I've ever heard. That synspilum looks good man, get some more shots of it up.

it doesn't have a "common" name. Basically everyone calls it a lyonsi, so in this case the specific name is the common name.
