Amphilophus male or female

It is what you say it is until it lays eggs or you vent it.

Don't let anyone here lie to you and say it's male or female by just looking at this picture.

I believe I saw an egg tube but I was hoping someone might be able shine a little more light on it. This is my 1st Amphilophus in yrs. Right about 7" +/-.

Supposedly an f3 lab but I have my doubts. Pic's are hard as it moves constantly & gets agitated easily soon as you come in the room. Not to mention the ****ty light on the tank.

Pointy hooked forward vent from side view is a male, bumpy cue tip shape aimed downwards is female.

If that makes much sense lol.
