Amphilophus Mix?

I was wondering if this combination will work out long term.

A Trimac (female) and a Midas/Red Devil (sex unknown) in a 180 gal?
The Trimac is the boss right now, but both are growing fast.

I also have 4 Silver Dollars a Rafael Cat and a mated pair of JD's in with them. I was planning on getting rid of the JD's but will keep them if I can get by with it.

possibly...gonna depend on the personality/attitude of the individual fish as they continue to grow...I'd remove the dempseys...a breeding pair could cause more problems than anything

I was planning on getting a new home for the JD's.

I don't want to lose my female Trimac either, so I will keep an eye on the Midas. I have a male Trimac in a 150 gal species only tank, but from what I have read the Trimac male could eventually kill his mate. That is why the female is in the other tank.
