Amphilophus "Red Isletas" video

Just a 1 minute video of my 7" male Red Isletas in case anybody is interested. This is more of an experiment for me since I don't know squat about posting videos, so I hope it works. This should be in high def, shot with a small canon sd780 point and shoot camera. If your on dial up, you can search for it under : Amphilophus "Red Isletas" male (for a quicker download).

OMG, I'm soooo jealous, he is amazing. Mines look and act nothing like that, mines has a slightly crooked snout(came to me like that) and always hide whenever anyone is in the room. I really need to order another.
 
I am assuming those are spawning colors, considering it looks like there are offspring swimming around.

Have you been able to keep the male and female in an undivided tank? how aggressive are they?
 
I bought them from Rapps and they have been together since day one, but there was quite a bit of tension until they really bonded... Unfortunately the male got too abusive after the third batch of fry... although he does seem to be looking for her in the pot now that she's been out for a week or two. They are every bit as aggressive/ dominant as your average Midas, but have a laid back personality to them. I will put her back in with him after she grows out a bit. Been breeding too much for her to do much growing lately.

If anybody in Michigan wants to give these guys a go, and are within driving distance to Cadillac, MI... just let me know and I will give free hand outs of some solid, healthy 1" fry to anybody who is wanting to grow out a pair of them
