Amphilophus sp. 'red Isletas' Tankmates?

Would clown loaches and Geos work with a Amphilophus sp. 'red Isletas' in a 125g tank considering the Amphilophus sp. 'red Isletas' is only between 4-5inches..(planning on ordering one from Rapps)

My Isletas are very aggressive. I had them in a 220 gallon community of CA cichlids and they had to be removed because they were too fiesty. I don't know if I would trust a 5 inch male with my Geos but you never know! I'd rather have the Isletas anyway! Good luck.

i on the other hand have had different results, my isletas is calm and passive, he lives in an amphiophus/parachromis community.
 
hmm..so i might be a hit or miss..THANKS for guys...i've been trying to do some research on them but theres hardly any info on them..now these get as big as "regular" Barred Midas only right?..around 12 to 14inches..or do they get as big as the Amphilophus chanchos?...and do they get as thick as the "regular" Barred..

Chancho grow larger than any other amphilophus. Iseltas aren't very common, so there aren't enough adults to judge max adult size in captivity.
 
mine has grown very fast I don't know about max size expect something like 15"
 
Wow, that's a good size. Personally, the only amphilophus I'd keep with geos would be Robertsonis. I am not sure about Isletas but I think if they are anything like midas, then the geos would be in for a rough ride. I've kept different types of midas and all of them are pretty rough, although mixing with Parachromis and nandopsis IMO is okay. However, IMO, they are not suitable for an earth eater tank. They're fast on the move, and tends to be inquisitive in an intrusive way, whereas geos are generally a peaceful and slow moving type of fish.

Same with mine. He is in a 90 gallon with some juvie Dovii and Saum. No aggression so far but mine is just pushing 4"
